Sonny Fodera has had his foot on the pedal since his debut at 23. Curating a sound that is completely his own, the now globally-renowned, London-based DJ-producer, label-head and in-demand collaborator has become a staple name within the dance music scene.
In the latest of Sonny’s accolades, this past year he broke new ground with smash hit “Asking” alongside MK and Clementine Douglas. The release was launched independently on his label Solotoko, proving that independent releases have the potential to become gold records as the first artist-owned dance label to achieve a Top 10 single in over a decade. “Asking” broke 100 M worldwide streams, earning a total of 500K OCC Single Sales in 2023 alone, spending 27 weeks in the UK Top 40 Chart with a peak at No. 7 and now awarded with Gold Accreditation. This huge, record-breaking achievement was driven by loyal support including playlisting across BBC Radio 1 for 11 weeks as well as landing playlist adds across KISS FM, Capital Dance and the Hits Network. Elsewhere, the track had been tagged on Shazam more than 350K times and peaked at No. 3 on the UK Shazam Top 200 Chart.
Returning to his Solotoko imprint for April 5th 2024, Sonny Fodera delivered a track that only “Asking” could rival. “Mind Still” features the talents of vocalist Blythe, and as always Sonny creates a melodic, liquid and fast-paced track that is truly addictive, made with dance-floor appeal and sure to reign radio airwaves once more.
Over the course of his career that has brought him to his point, Sonny Fodera has gained Silver-Certified records with dance hits “You & I” and “One Night”. The numbers speak for themselves, with 6.5 M monthly Spotify listeners, and his very own independent album “Wide Awake” earning 19.4 M streams and totalling five albums to his name — the popularity for Sonny’s music shows zero signs of slowing down, but only growing year on year.
Meanwhile Sonny is proud to add multiple collabs to his endless vault of anthems, working with the likes of Diplo, MK, Sinead Harnett, Becky Hill, Jazzy, Belters Only and Gorgon City to name only a few, whilst championing the next wave of emerging talent to turn heads in the industry through his impressive Solotoko release schedule.
Along with the global success of his music, Sonny has become a global headliner. From headlining both We Are FSTVL and Creamfields to sell-out shows at the O2 Academy Brixton, 3Arena in Dublin, Blackstone Street Warehouse in Liverpool, Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Depot Mayfield in Manchester, The Brooklyn Mirage in NYC, not to mention hosting Solotoko takeovers at Miami Music Week year on year, a sellout label showcase in Dubai for 2024 and his Ibiza residency at Amnesia three years in a row — Sonny Fodera has demonstrated he can command a crowd from anywhere in the world.
2025 has been a landmark year for Sonny. His major releases “All This Time” featuring Jazzy dropped in July via his label Solotoko, a feel-good anthem that showcased his signature melodic house sound. Later in October he delivered “Think About Us” in collaboration with D.O.D and
Poppy Baskcomb, which had an incredible start at radio and DSP’s, further underlining his consistent output and creative ambition. On the live front his touring schedule has been monumental: he curated and headlined the 20,000-capacity takeover at Silverworks Island in London in July, played major sets at festivals including Tomorrowland, Longitude and Creamfields, an 18-week residency at Pacha in Ibiza and embarked on headline shows across Australia (Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney). He is now slated to close the year with his biggest headline arena shows to date in the UK (Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester) — with Cardiff and Manchester already sold out, and making history as the first DJ to sell out the UK’s largest indoor venue, Co-Op Live.
Looking ahead, 2026 is already shaping up to be another huge year for Sonny. He returns to Ibiza for another season at Pacha, continuing his reign as one of the island’s most in-demand resident DJs. Alongside his residency, Sonny will headline Creamfields and Belsonic, solidifying his position as one of the leading names in international dance music. Adding to an already packed calendar, he has announced the debut of his very own Somedays Festival in Malta next May - a hand-curated weekend of music that reflects his global influence.
