Extrema Outdoor takes place from Friday 22nd May until Sunday 24th May (Monday 25th being a bank holiday/day off). Campsite check-in starts on Thursday, May 21st at 16:00.
You can find us on the beautiful grounds of De Plas in Houthalen-Helchteren, Belgium. The festival site includes a dense forest, a clear lake – including a beach – and enough space for 7 stages (which we call Districts) and the Aperol Spritz area.

Yes, there will be lockers in several sizes (Medium or Large) available at both the festival entrances and at the camping site.
Lockers at the camping site will be provided with electric facilities to charge your phone or other devices. Payments can be done in cash or by card.
Extrema is an 18+ event. It is possible that our crew will ask you for your ID and if you don’t have it on you, they can deny you access to the festival. So don’t take that risk and make sure to bring your ID.
Yes, every day we have official after-parties at the Campsite.

You can only enter the camp site afterparties with a valid camping ticket (Holiday Ticket, Holiday VIP ticket or if you are staying at The Extrema Resort).
For day visitors, re-entry is not possible. For those ticket holders the rule ‘IN=IN, OUT=OUT’ applies.
For camping, weekend and/or Extrema Resort visitors, re-entry is possible.
You will be able to express milk at any first aid stand throughout the festival.
Professional photo, film and other recording equipment (including all SLR cameras and cameras with detachable lenses) are not permitted. The use of selfie sticks and GoPros (or similar) is also not permitted. Only (Digital) compact cameras and camera phones are permitted on the festival grounds.
It is not permitted to produce and/or distribute (online or offline) professional and/or commercial content at the festival (whether or not by using influencers/content creators) without written permission from the festival organisation.

The Belgian government has announced a possible increase in the VAT rate on, among other things, festival and concert tickets, potentially as of March 1, from 6% to 12%. A price adjustment therefore cannot be ruled out. Those who want to be sure of the current prices are advised to purchase their tickets in good time.

You have access to our campsite with a HOLIDAY TICKET, HOLIDAY VIP TICKET or if you've booked an accommodation at the District Glamping. Access to the campsite also means access to the daily afterparties.

Of course, you can stay overnight at our campsite with your own camping gear. Please read the FORBIDDEN ITEMS AND GOODS below carefully to be 100% sure you’re not breaking any rules.
It is not possible to stay at the campsite for 1 night. Only a Holiday Ticket, Holiday VIP Ticket or stay at the District Glamping provides access to the campsite from Thursday until Monday (see CHECK-IN TIMES below.)
The campsite opens on Thursday at 16:00 and you must leave the premises on Monday before 11:00. Check-in is 24/7.
These campsite rules apply as “internal regulations” on the Extrema Outdoor Belgium Campsite during the festival. Anyone who buys a Campsite ticket declares thereby that they agree to the following campsite rules.
The campsite opens on Thursday at 4.00 pm and you must leave the premises on Monday before 11.00 am. Every visitor can be searched and access will be denied to those who do not comply or to those who bring forbidden items/goods, without refund of any fees.
Only visitors with a valid camping bracelet are allowed on the campsite. The campsite is strictly forbidden for people under the age of 18. Camping visitors must check-in at the cash registers at the entrance of the campsite. ID and age will be checked here.
Always follow the guidelines from the campsite hosts, security and emergency services. In cases of discussion, the manager of the campsite has the final word. Use your common sense and don’t bring others in danger!
Please follow the instructions from the campsite hosts while placing your tents and keep emergency exits, emergency paths and passageways free. Follow the instructions; otherwise, you may have to assemble your tent twice! The campsite hosts can move misplaced tents without permission of the owner. Always keep the safety route free. Tents on this road will be moved without notice. Campsite visitors stay at their own risk on the premises overnight. The organization is not responsible for any physical or material damage.
When you violate the rules above, you lose the right to residence at the campsite without refund of any fees.
Unfortunately no, RVs and/or mobile homes are no longer allowed at the Extrema campsite due to a changed traffic plan. Check out external campsites in the areas nearby if you want to stay in your mobile home.
Every day, after the festival, we’re hosting an afterparty at the campsite. You can enter our afterparties if you have a:

The lockers at the campsite are equipped with power outlets to charge your mobile devices, smartwatches and other equipment that needs to be charged.

When entering the campsite, we ask you to pay €5 deposit in exchange for a trash bag (cash or pin). When you return this bag filled with trash after the festival, you’ll receive your deposit back.
For the first time ever, District 1 will open on Thursday for an official pre-party. Join us to kickstart your festival weekend with a relaxed atmosphere and laid-back sounds setting the tone for the days ahead.

You sure can! A shuttle service is provided from and to Hasselt Station. If you're traveling from abroad, the best airport to fly to is Brussels Airport. You can travel to Hasselt Station by train as a train station is located underneath the airport and a direct train will bring you to Hasselt. You can easily and quickly pay using your own debit card, credit card, or a card added to your phone wallet at any bar, food stand, or shop. No tokens and no conversion fees.
Yes. Visitors who only have cash can purchase a payment card at one of the top-up points on the festival site. You can load cash onto this card to make payments.
Please note:
• This payment card is only valid during the festival and can only be topped up with cash.
• The maximum balance per card is €150, but you can top-up and/or buy more cards over the weekend. If you return to the festival on another day, you can continue using the same card – no need to buy a new one.
• The card is non-refundable, so only purchase what you expect to spend.
• A €3 administrative fee is charged per card and is immediately deducted from the amount you top up.
• €200 and €500 banknotes are not accepted.
The payment card is equivalent to cash so whoever holds the card can use it. In case of loss or theft, we cannot block the card or refund the balance. Please treat your card with care, just like you would with physical cash or your own debit card.
District Glamping opens on Thursday, May 21nd at 16:00. Check-in is available 24/7, so arrive whenever it suits you.
Enjoy a relaxed departure with late check-out on Monday, you can stay on site until 16:00 before leaving the premises.
District Glamping is located in a secluded spot, next to the festival. This will make sure that you can have the best and most unique experience to fully relax and enjoy your stay at District Glamping. You will have direct access to the festival via the regular campsite, this is only a 5-minute walk.
The Extrema Resort has evolved! We’re excited to introduce District Glamping — a fresh and inspiring new concept that brings you comfort, atmosphere, and a refined festival stay.
While the experience has been reimagined, a few things have changed:
– Festival tickets are now purchased separately
– The beauty bar and barbershop are no longer available
– There’s no open DJ booth, massage area or swimming pool
– Breakfast is not included
