We want to be a safe place where everybody feels welcome and comfortable. A place where no one is subjected to discrimination, criticism or intimidation. Everyone should be able to be themselves. Everyone is welcome at our festivals, regardless of gender, orientation, culture, religion, ethnicity or disability.
We raise awareness and inform. About alcohol and other drugs, sexuality, well-being and health. The Belgian law has to be respected at the festivals. We expect responsible behavior from festivalgoers. Take care of yourself, yes to safe sex with mutual consent, drink plenty of water, opt for public transport and apply sunscreen if we’re lucky enough to have some bits of sun. If things go wrong, our employees and emergency services will be there to help you. At any time so please be honest and respectful.
‘We Care A Lot’ is a story we write together, a story of shared responsibility. Take care of yourself and your friends. Aim to be the best version of yourself. We are committed to ensuring that our festivals are healthy and safe. Our employees are trained so that they are even more vigilant and can react appropriately where necessary.
Alcohol and other drug use are widespread in (night)life. However, possession of drugs is illegal in Belgium and causes harm to yourself (and in some cases to others as well). (Open) drug use will result in immediate action, and anyone caught can be removed from the festival grounds. Because… We care a lot about you.
Before entering the festival grounds, you’ll have the chance to dispose any drugs anonymously and without penalty using the designated deposit boxes located at the entrances to both the festival and campsite.

Visit the We Care A Lot booth at the festival and ‘Catch Your Breath’ for free before even thinking about getting behind the wheel and chat with the trained Safe 'n Sound volunteers. Alongside a great conversation, they’ve got loads of valuable info to share about alcohol and other drugs, safe sex, and how to take care of yourself and your friends.
Even though you're smart enough to understand the risks of substance use, we still want to share a few tips — just in case you decide to use:
Free services we offer to boost your festival experience:
During the festival, our own emergency number is available through our WhatsApp account. It is easy accessible through the festival app, your own WhatsApp app or by phone. Save it now so you might use it later: +32 11 12 33 23.
Even with all the right precautions and best intentions, things can go wrong. If you, a friend or someone nearby start feeling unwell or are in need for a talk, don’t hesitate to head to one of the first aid posts on-site immediately or reach out to us through our emergency number. Our teams are professionally trained, fully equipped, and here to help. Be honest at all times as everything you say is protected by strict confidentiality. They won’t judge or punish you, their only goal is you to feel better.
There will be large-scale checks on alcohol and drugs around the festival and on your way home. Make sure to plan ahead and agree on a safe way to get home and never drive under influence. Test your alcohol level anytime at the Catch your Breath stand. One breath away from a better choice.
You’re not only putting yourself at risk and facing serious penalties, but also endangering others. Take the car keys from that one friend. Yeah, you know exactly who we mean.
We Work A Lot together with Catch Your Breath, Safe ‘n Sound, Rode Kruis, and Zorgcentrum na Seksueel Geweld Limburg.
